Our newest member of The FDB is John “Paterfamilias” Patterson of Blacksburg, VA. 20 years of blues highways bad motels and great audiences have shaped the vocal and bass styles of John “Paterfamilias” Patterson. Having shared the stage with such acts as, the FABULOUS  THUNDERBIRDS, THE AMAZING RHYTHM ACES, and THE NIGHTHAWKS to name a few. John’s playing and presents could be described as the Stick in Glue, the Spit Shine of Groove, the Grand Poovah of Smoove. A Great Communicator of the blues, John’s “down home” approach to the music brings a life time of  experience to the table every single night.

John “Paterfamilias” Patterson is an Original!
